This is a great opportunity for a construction professional that has both field and estimating experience and wants to continue learning and growing in a General Contractor environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Estimator with all projects bid and awarded, while maintaining standardized procedures and processes for the estimating department.
- Support in developing bids, performing takeoffs, preparing bid-day spreadsheets, obtaining required bid bonds, and receiving bids from industry partners as necessary.
- Support in the smooth transition of information in the post-bid process and collaborating with the project management and operation teams throughout the life cycle of successfully bid projects.
- Assist project management teams with change orders, additional pricing, and scope clarification during all stages of projects.
- Support all preconstruction needs, and the development of multi-level budgets for Construction Manager as Constructor, design-build, and Build-Operate-Transfer projects, and support taking these projects from the conceptual phase into construction phase.
- Support in identifying potential projects to bid, maintaining a bid registry for ongoing successful and in-process bids, coordinating and running weekly acquisitions meetings with office to discuss potential projects to bid and status of current projects.
- Works collaboratively to create and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as Company team members, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and designers. As well as actively participating in industry, client, and community relations to enhance the company image.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in estimating, or a mix of experience in estimating, field supervision, and/or project management.
- Self-performing experience in estimating, preconstruction, field supervision and/or project management.
- Proficient in using estimating software, Microsoft products, and take-off software.
- BS in Construction, Engineering, or related degree is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
