Responsibilities
- Successful candidate will have a strong market knowledge in the San Antonio and surrounding areas to identify and pursue the right targets.
- Identify the right networks to be a part and in alignment with strategic pursuits and clients
- Actively engages in events and coordinates efforts to engage other stakeholders
- Possess a strong network in regions and markets surrounding San Antonio
- Utilize broad network to connect people and demonstrate a “One Company” approach to networking
- Role models what it means to be a pursuit “Quarterback” and organizes, motivates, and aligns operational team members, marketing, and preconstruction throughout a pursuit process
- Communicates effectively with all kinds of team members to ensure they have the right information at the right time as it relates to capture planning
- Holds self and others accountable for business development activities and active pursuits
- Trains others by sharing key skills and processes related to BD to build a robust BD culture
- Maintains strong CRM capabilities, and updates relevant data so that they (and others) can draw logical conclusions about current and future opportunities, wins, and backlog

Travel: Regular travel may be required to maintain strong client + internal relationships and attend critical events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in business development
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies
- Deep expertise and experience within the AEC industry, core markets and geographies in which this role will operate.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong experience with CRM systems
